Feb. 16, 2012; Mt. Juliet, TN: Summit Medical Center is pleased to announce the expansion of Summit Walk-in Clinic that serves Mt. Juliet and its surrounding counties. The expansion project increased the Walk-in Clinic’s current size by 50 percent and adds an expanded waiting area, two exam rooms, a procedure room and lab area.

Along with the expansion, the Walk-in Clinic will offer two full-time specially trained family nurse practitioners that provide treatment for non-emergent minor injuries or illnesses. “We are excited that we are able to expand the Walk-in Clinic services we offer to the region we serve,” said Jeff Whitehorn, CEO of Summit Medical Center. “The expanded space and additional treatment rooms will enable us to enhance the care we provide to our patients and will position us to meet the needs of Mt. Juliet’s growing community.”

Summit Walk-in Clinic is also working with local business and industry members to tailor convenient care services to their needs for employment physicals, workers comp and drug screenings. Preventive health screenings and health education seminars will also be available to area businesses throughout the year.
