Award recognizes commitment to engaging and positive environment for nurses

Hermitage, Tennessee – TriStar Summit Medical Center has earned its second consecutive Pathway to Excellence designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

The ANCC Pathway to Excellence designation is a global credential that recognizes a positive practice environment and a culture of sustained excellence. TriStar Summit Medical Center joins a premier group of organizations that have received Pathway to Excellence designation twice.

“TriStar Summit Medical Center’s nurses are an integral part of the healthcare team, with a voice in policy and practice,” says Mary Ann Angle, TriStar Summit Medical Center’s chief nursing officer.  “The Pathway to Excellence designation shows TriStar Summit offers a culture to support our nurses in their professional practice and engages them in clinical decision making.”

As a Pathway organization, TriStar Summit leads the effort to enhance quality of care, patient and nursing safety, and better patient outcomes.
