National Recognition
As a designated Pathway to Excellence facility recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, TriStar Summit is a national leader in the field of nursing. We’re one of two hospitals in the state of the Tennessee to be recognized as a pioneer in nursing satisfaction and retention.
Hospital Recognition
At TriStar Summit, it takes a team approach to serve with excellence. We’re proud to support our nurses’ commitment to going above and beyond to care for the needs of a patient while demonstrating a positive, energetic attitude.
TriStar Summit joins over 2,700 healthcare facilities across 50 states and 17 other countries, participating in The DAISY Award.
Every quarter, we recognize one of our nurses for providing skillful, compassionate care. Nurses receive a DAISY pin and hand-carved sculpture entitled “A Healer’s Touch.”
The DAISY Award was founded after J. Patrick Barnes passed away due to complications from an autoimmune disease. During his hospitalization, Patrick’s family deeply appreciated the care demonstrated not only to Patrick, but his entire family, and they decided to give back through their foundation as a way to say thanks.
HCA Excellence in Nursing
Our parent company, HCA Healthcare, rewards our nurses that live out the company mission by providing the highest level of care to Davidson and Wilson County patients.
Every year, two outstanding nurses from TriStar Summit are recognized for providing compassionate care and mentoring their nursing peers.
Compassionate Care Award
TriStar Summit’s Compassionate Care Award recipients demonstrate patient-centered care and serve all those they encounter with kindness and empathy.
Professional Mentoring Award
Professional Mentoring Award recipients are exemplary coaches for their peers, demonstrating servant leadership to their fellow nurses and ancillary staff. They inspire their colleagues to pursue professional development and continuing education opportunities, while providing guidance from their past experience.
