Obstetricians at TriStar Summit

At TriStar Summit we have 18 Labor-Delivery-Recovery Post partum (LDRP)rooms. These rooms allow the entire birth process to be completed in a home-like setting. Our unit is also equipped with a central fetal monitoring display system which allows the nursing staff to check on patients from several locations.

Two operating rooms are also located on the floor for Caesarean sections and other minor surgeries.

OB ER Services

The OB ER at TriStar Summit is designed to attend to the unique needs and health concerns of women with greater ease of access and privacy than traditional emergency room settings. More importantly, each patient is seen by a specialist in obstetric care, which is not always the case in a mainstream emergency room. The OB ER is staffed 24 hours-a-day by obstetric hospitalists. The OB ER is located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital and easily accessible through the main entrance of TriStar Summit (take elevators to the 2nd floor) or after hours through our Emergency Room.

Newborn Security

Special security measures are in place to protect all infants and families.

Labor & Delivery Staff

Our nurses are skilled in caring for low and high risks babies. Several of our RNs are nationally certified in Neonatal and OB care. All licensed personnel are NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certified, and Lactation consultants are also on staff. These nurses are here to answer any questions that you might have.
